“With the warranty period of one year for my house having expired, I am going to state the likes and dislikes of my house located within your Elevation Park development. First of all, my house is well built with top of the line appliances. No items for a punch list were found at the end of the warranty period. Any issues were immediately addressed by your crew. The location is superb. Good views of the La Plata mountains and dark skies exist, perfect for star gazing. Sunsets can be amazing. Access to US 160 from the subdivision is made easy with the CDOT traffic signals located at the intersection with US 160. Pedestrian cross walks exist for those wanting to walk to the hospital or walk their dog via the Three Springs concrete trail which will eventually connect with the Durango River Trail. This trail is plowed in the winter by the city of Durango enabling year around use. For the more adventurous, dirt trails exist in the hills directly behind the hospital. Wildlife is abundant in the subdivision. I have seen deer, coyotes, and foxes and numerous birds including owls who nest in the riparian area. No bears or elk were sighted. The development is quite dog friendly, and most residents have a dog or two. I have never witnessed any issues with non‐friendly dogs. The rear of the house is secure with privacy fences for a dog to play. It will still be nice when the proposed dog park is built. The community consists mainly of professionals. A lot telecommute for their jobs and are home during the day. In the summer, we have a block party with all residents invited. This is a good opportunity to meet their new neighbors and their dogs. What would improve the development would be a nearby grocery store. Possibly located in the Grandview area.
